mineral
Each of these small paintings are small documentations of a time and a place through rocks. Mineral life is different everywhere we go.
As with my ongoing botanical series and practice, each of these are little engagements with stone in my territory, as well as the territories I am visitor to. I want to visit deeply. Each of these paintings are little engagements, an appreciation. My experience and practice as part of the land shows me deep time, meaning, and meaninglessness.
Each painting is on Midori cotton watercolour paper with ochre paint (ochre collected at Granddaddy’s Brook and made by Caitlin ffrench) and Stoneground paint.
